From 11 to 13 September 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, Lungomare Vassallo will host the Mercato dei Sapori, an open-air market celebrating the finest gastronomic specialities of the Mediterranean.
The stalls will offer a selection of local produce and specialities from different regions, showcasing both the area’s fishing heritage and the flavours of the inland. Seafood and artisanal specialities, preserves, wines and local products will take visitors on a journey through different regions, traditions and identities.
Particular attention will be given to the mussels of the Gulf of La Spezia, an authentic symbol of the local culinary tradition. They will be presented alongside mussels from other Italian regions, offering visitors the chance to discover and compare different varieties, cooking methods and regional traditions.
For three days, Lerici will become a meeting place and a showcase for the flavours of the Mediterranean, bringing together the local culinary heritage with the finest produce from other parts of Italy.
